Lithium Battery Guide – Everything You Need to Know

02-March-2026

Lithium batteries are changing the way we travel. They power electric bikes, and many daily devices. If you want to understand how they work and how to use them safely, this simple lithium battery guide for e-bikes is for you to understand all the essentials.

If you want to understand their proper functioning regarding how to operate them properly, this simple guide properly provides you instructions. Lithium batteries are known as rechargeable energy storage systems. They are reliably used in electronics, electric vehicles and renewable energy systems. They are popular because they are lightweight, powerful, and long-lasting. Compared to old battery types like lead-acid, lithium batteries offer better performance and higher efficiency. After the bestselling models powered by graphene battery, REVOO is now introducing its latest lithium battery lineup in the market. REVOO is bringing advanced models equipped with lithium and lithium iron phosphate battery technology boosting REVOO’s reliability and credibility.

Benefits of Lithium Battery

Lithium batteries are especially manufactured to save power for delivering fast charging and allowing riders to save energy and avoid downtime. Their lightweight design also contributes in making them ideal for applications like e-bikes enhancing their efficient ease of handling. They ensure a consistent performance through providing more power in less space with a long lifespan and high energy density. In terms of longevity, lithium batteries ensure a low-self discharge rate retaining their charge level when not in use. Lithium batteries provide improved and enhanced performance as compared to the other lithium batteries. These are more reliable than the other lead-acid batteries.

REVOO has recently introduced its latest models Y04, Y06 featuring lithium battery tech while A11 LFP and A12, B12 LFP are integrated with the smart lithium iron phosphate battery technology offering these specifications:

Fast Charging Time

REVOO Y04 with lithium battery technology is perfect for 5–10 km daily commutes offering 30 km/h top speed and 45 km range per charge. This lightweight 40 kg model takes 6-7 hrs time for per charge ensuring a  comfortable, and convenient urban riding for users of all ages.

The entry-level REVOO Y06 e-bike with lithium battery tech delivers smooth everyday riding at 30 km/h with up to 60 km range. Consuming 0.96 kWh per charge, it fully charges in 7–8 hours ensuring you a dependable daily commute.

The REVOO A11 LFP and REVOO A12 LFP use fast charging lithium iron phosphate technology. REVOO focuses on reliability and convenience, so in the latest models equipped with lithium battery technology, the charging time is reduced to only 3–3.5 hours. This saves times for a smooth and reliable commute.

REVOO B12 is a powerful e-bike especially designed for business use and long-term reliability. Its 1800W motor carries heavy loads and climbs 12° slopes easily. Featuring lithium iron phosphate battery technology, it offers two charging options with certified chargers. It provides a standard charge level, reaching from 0% to 80% in just 3-3.5 hrs using a 10A charger, while fast charging reaches 0–80% with a 25A charger within just 1.5 hrs.

Lightweight Design

Provided with the latest lithium iron phosphate battery technology, A11 LFP is 20% lighter than the previous models of similar size weighing only 70 kg. Less weight means better handling and smooth riding. In addition to this A12 LFP comes in a light weight design at just 80 kg. It is over 25% lighter than earlier models of similar size.

Longer Warranty

REVOO shows strong confidence in lithium battery performance and provides a 50% increase in coverage by enhancing the warranty period to 24 and 36 months respectively, according to the latest lithium battery models. (Y04, Y06, A11 LFP and A12 LFP, and B12).

Long Lifespan

Lithium batteries provide a long-lasting performance reducing replacement costs and providing peace of mind.

Charging Tips  Step by Step

  • Adopt the habit of following these simple steps before starting the charging process:

  • Always use the certified charger provided with the model. Avoid charging your e-bike at stations providing fast charging.

  • Fast charging is not allowed unless the model supports it.

  • Do not charge water-submerged batteries or with a damaged outer casing.

  • Modification in battery or electrical parts is strictly not recommended.

  • Charge the battery in a well-ventilated and dry place avoiding the direct sunlight and rain.

  • Let the battery cool down after riding before recharging. Wait for 30 minutes in winter and 1 hour in summer.

  • To avoid any impact or damage, handle the battery pack carefully during installations and transportation.

  • Check the charging area and ensure there is not any electrical overloading, no low-quality sockets with any burn marks or damage to them.

  • If there is a battery leakage, unusual smell, any deformation, excessive heat, stop charging immediately.

Key Storage Information

  • 50% battery level is the best storage condition for lithium batteries.

  • Charge the battery to 50%, then turn off the air switch or unplug it.

  • Check the battery level every month. Recharge it to 50% if the charge falls below half.

  • Store the battery in a cool and dry place.

  • To keep your warranty protected, make sure to charge the battery regularly, as long periods without charging may void the warranty.

Important Precautions
